The History of Arkansas Insulation

Founded in 1978

 

Arkansas Insulation was created in 1978 as Bolivar Insulation was expanding into more markets along northern Arkansas. Founded by the Cribbs family in Bolivar, MO, Bolivar Insulation would eventually grow into one of the areas largest installed product companies in the 4 state area and grew to include additional brands like Arkansas Insulation.

Early Growth

 

Expanded Markets

Between 1948 and 1994, Bolivar Insulation grew to 7 branch locations (Bolivar, Camdenton, Columbia, Joplin, Kimberling City, West Plains, and Springfield), and expanded to include two Arkansas Insulation locations (Bentonville, and Fayetteville), and also had Southwestern Insulation in Nixa.

 

Additional Products

By the early 90’s Bolivar Insulation was not just selling insulation, but also began selling drywall, fireplaces, Closet-Maid shelving, and more.

The Big Move

In the 1980’s, Mr. Cribbs decided to move their headquarters from Bolivar, MO to the Springfield, MO location on Trafficway. This was the flagship location which housed multiple people, products, and equipment.

 

Purchase of A1 Insulation

To further their position in the market,

 

In 1994 Bolivar Insulation and it’s subsidiaries (which included Arkansas Insulation) along with its 10 locations was sold to Raymond Tripp, a former Owen’s Corning Executive.

ARKANSAS INSULATION Joins the G5 Family of COMPANIES.

 

In 2014, Mr. Tripp sold Bolivar Insulation and it’s subsidiaries (which included Arkansas Insulation) to Britt and Maribeth Gardner who still own and operate the business today.
